This article walks you though the steps you need to take to set up your shiny new Rectxt account - it should only take you a couple of minutes to get everything set up.

"But wait, what is Rectxt?" you ask:

Rectxt is texting software for recruiters! Think of it as an SMS-based instant messaging app. It allows you to launch text message conversations with your candidates directly from ClearCompany and it provides you with a dedicated texting number (so you don't have to share your personal contact details with the public job market 🙂).

Let's get started:

1) Download the Rectxt Chrome extension by clicking HERE or the badge below:

2) Create your account:

Fill out your name & email, create a password, and agree to the terms of service and privacy policy:

3) Pick your new texting number:

Picking an area code that is most-relevant to the geographic area that you recruit in is a good idea so that it becomes a 'local' area code:

4) Set up your call forwarding (optional)

This is the phone that rings if a candidate happens to call your texting number. You could enter your cell phone number (or any number that you want a call forwarded to if your candidate calls your new Rectxt texting number). The advantage to this is that you can provide an easy way for your candidates to reach you without having to share your personal contact details.

5) Set your timezone to be used for scheduled messages

Don't forget to click 'Save'!

6) Download the mobile app (optional)

If you want to be able to continue text conversations with your Rectxt account from your mobile phone then download our mobile app from the Apple or Android stores. Simply log in with the same username and password as the web app and everything is automatically synchronized with your chrome extension. Click a logo below to download:
