What is a text-enabled landline?

Through our SMS service partner, we are able to provision your existing voice landline so that you can send and receive text messages through it. This means that if your land line is (604) 123-4567 then your candidates will receive messages from that number and will reply to that number :)

What does the process look like?

The process is relatively simple and we will work with you through every step:

Step 1 - Form: Fill out the form that we provide you.

Step 2 - Eligibility verification: we will use the information from the form to verify that your phone number is eligible to be text-enabled.

Step 3 -  Ownership verification: you will need to verify that you are the registered owner of the landline phone number. We will work with you to arrange a date and time to receive a robo-call where you will need to input a 6-digit code (that we provide you).

Step 4 - Sign document: The registered owner of the phone number (usually the CEO or COO) will electronically sign the Letter of Authorization (LOA).

Step 5 - Confirmation: Wait 1 or 2 business days for the landline to be text-enabled, tested, and we will notify you once this is confirmed.

FAQs:

Will my current voice landline be affected?

No, this does not affect the voice capabilities of your existing number.

Will I notice any difference on my landline phone bill?

No, this is completely separate from your existing landline and you will see no changes whatsoever.

What numbers can be text-enabled?

This service is only supported to existing voice landlines in USA & Canada. Mobile numbers are not supported, VoIP numbers from some providers will be supported in the future.

How long does the process take?

Time will vary depending on when we can receive you filled out form and when you are able to complete Step 3 and Step 4. Once all the 'paperwork' has been taken care of it should only take 1 or 2 days for the changes to take place.

What if I no longer want to have my landline text-enabled?

Simply send us a request and we will delete the service for you. It may take up to 3 days for the changes to take place depending on your carrier.
